Create an anchor to scroll the page to a specific section

Improve the internal navigation of your hotel website

Key features • Easy anchor creation from the Designer • Smooth navigation to a specific section • Ideal for menus, buttons, and long pages • Improves user experience and access to key content

Creating an anchor allows your visitors to instantly reach a specific section of your page, without having to scroll manually. This is particularly useful on long pages, secondary menus, "Services", "Spa", "Restaurant" pages, or information guides on a hotel website.

Create an anchor in the Designer

Select the section or block you want to scroll to. In the right panel, locate the ID field and give it a simple name, without spaces, for example: rooms, spa, restaurant, contact, facilities.

The ID automatically becomes a unique anchor that you can target from a button or internal link.

Link a button or menu item to this anchor

Select the button, text link, or menu item that should scroll the page. In the Links panel, choose the Link to Section (or Section link) option, and then select the name of the anchor you just created.

Once configured, clicking on this element will trigger a smooth scroll to the corresponding section.

💡 Tip: favor short and explicit IDs like "suites", "spa", "offers", "booking" to keep a clear structure.

Optimize the mobile and desktop experience

Test your anchor text on desktop and then mobile to ensure smooth scrolling and that the section isn't hidden by a fixed menu. If your hotel website uses sticky navigation, add light padding to the top of your section to maintain a clean display.

Publish your anchor

Once the configuration is complete, preview the page and then click Publish. Test your anchor on several pages if it is linked to a global element, such as the main menu.

Conclusion

Creating an anchor is a simple and effective way to streamline navigation on your hotel website. This mechanism improves the user experience, facilitates access to essential information, and strengthens the structure of your pages.
