Add a video (YouTube, Vimeo, mp4 file) to a page

Easily integrate immersive video content

Key features • Simple integration from the Designer • Supports YouTube, Vimeo, and MP4 files • Ideal for showcasing your hotel in an immersive way • Quick setup for optimal display

Integrating a video into your hotel website is an excellent way to enhance the user experience: showcasing your establishment, providing an immersive tour of the rooms, highlighting the spa, restaurant, or an event. Webflow allows you to add a hosted video (YouTube, Vimeo) or an MP4 file in just a few steps.

Add a YouTube or Vimeo video

Open the Designer and drag the Video block into your section. In the options area, paste the URL of your YouTube or Vimeo video. The video will automatically integrate in a responsive format and adapt to all screen sizes.

💡 Tip: Use a short video (30–90 seconds) to capture attention without slowing down the browsing experience.

Add an mp4 video file

If you want to use your own hosted file, select the Background Video block to create an animated background, or use a Video Element if you have a player with controls. Then import your MP4 file via the Asset Manager.

This format is ideal for animated backgrounds or silent immersive videos on the homepage.

Optimize video for performance

Avoid large files that could slow down the page. • Recommended size: less than 10 MB • Ideal length: 5–15 seconds for backgrounds • Format: MP4 in H.264 or WebM for optimized versions

For videos hosted on YouTube or Vimeo, consider disabling similar videos in the integration settings to avoid irrelevant suggestions.

Adjust the display on mobile

Some background videos may not display correctly on mobile devices to preserve performance. In this case, add a fallback image in your video block options. For standard videos, check the responsive display settings in the Designer to ensure a smooth experience.

Publish your edit

Preview the page, check the video behavior on desktop and mobile, then click Publish to make your adjustments visible.

Conclusion

Adding a video enhances the appeal of your hotel website and offers a more immersive experience. A clean, optimized integration that aligns with your visual identity showcases your establishment and captures more of your visitors' attention.
