Hide or show a section depending on the season or promotional period
Manage content visibility according to your needs
Key features • Simple hiding and showing from the Designer • Ideal for seasonal offers or special events • Precise control over desktop and mobile visibility • Content optimization without deleting elements
Hiding or showing a section is particularly useful for hotels that want to adapt their website to the seasons: winter offers, Valentine's Day promotions, rooftop openings, wellness packages, events, special menus. This method allows you to keep your sections ready to use without having to recreate them each season.
Hide a section from the Designer
Select the section you want to hide. In the Style panel, go to the Display property. Choose the None option to make the section completely invisible on the page. The section remains present in the Designer but no longer appears in the published version.
💡 Tip: Add a specific class like “winter-season-section” or “spring-promo” to easily identify your seasonal content without getting lost in the structure.
Show a hidden section
To reactivate a section, select it and then change the Display property to Block, Flex, or Grid, depending on its initial configuration. The section will become visible again and automatically integrate into the layout.
Hide or show depending on the device (desktop, tablet, mobile)
Webflow also allows you to control visibility by device. In the style panel, use the Desktop/Tablet/Mobile icons to hide or show the section on a specific screen type. This is particularly useful if your promotion displays differently depending on the screen size or if you want to streamline a mobile page.
Implementation of a seasonal schedule
To simplify future updates, prepare your seasonal sections in advance and then activate them when needed. You can: • keep several hidden sections ready for the year • duplicate a promotional block and then hide the inactive versions • organize your content in the Designer with clear, dated names
Publish your changes
Once the adjustments are made, preview and then click Publish to make the sections visible or invisible according to your marketing plan.
Conclusion
Hiding or showing a seasonal section is a simple and powerful way to update your hotel website without recreating your content. This flexibility allows you to highlight the right promotions at the right time, while maintaining a clear organization within the Designer.
